ଅଧବାଟିଆ

1. Adhabāṭiā (ଦେ.ବିଣ.) - ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଦୂରତ୍ୱ ବା ପଥରୁ ଅଧେ ଯାଇଥିବା (ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି)  (a person) who has gone half the distance.


2. ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅଧେ ଅଧେ କରାଯିବା (କର୍ମ) (work) Done by two persons half and half.


3. (ଲକ୍ଷଣାର୍ଥ) ଅସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ  Incomplete.


4. (ଗୋଟିଏ ଭାରି ବସ୍ତୁ ବା ବୋଝ) ଯାହାକୁ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଅଧେ ଲେଖାଏଁ ଦୂରତ୍ୱ ଯାକେ ବୋହି ନିଅନ୍ତି  (a load) Which is carried by two people half way each.


5. (ଦେ.ବି.) - ଖୋଳା ବା ମାଟିକୁ କୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ କିଛି ବେଶି ଦୂର ନେବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ଜଣେ ବୋଝିଆ ମାଟି ବୋଝକୁ ଖୋଳା ହେବା ଯାଗାରୁ କିଛି ଦୂର (ଅଧବାଟ)ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବୋହି ନିଏ ଓ ସେଠାରୁ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ବୋଝିଆ ପ୍ରଥମ ବୋଝିଆ ଠାରୁ ସେ ବୋଝକୁ ନେଇ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଟସ୍ଥାନରେ ପକାଏ, ଏହିପରି ପ୍ରଣାଳୀରେ ମାଟିକାମ କରାଯିବା ରୀତି An arrangement for carrying loads of earth to a certain distance by relays of carriers, one relay carrying the loads half way and then transferring them to the other relay of coolies to be carried to the destination.
