1. Adhimāsa (ସଂ.ବି.) - ଅମାବାସ୍ୟାଦ୍ୱୟ ଯୁକ୍ତ ଓ ରବି ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତିବର୍ଜିତ ଚାନ୍ଦ୍ର - ମାନ ମାସ; ଅଧିମାସ; ମାସବୃଦ୍ଧି A leap- month of the Hindu almanac; an inter- calary lunar month; a lunar month inter- calated or added to the ordinary lunar month in order to compensate the deficit between the solar and the lunar months.

 [ ଦ୍ର ] ବର୍ଷକେ 12 ଦିନ କମିଥିବା ଚାନ୍ଦ୍ର ମାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୌର ମାସ ସଙ୍ଗେ ମେଳ କରାଇ ଚାନ୍ଦ୍ରବର୍ଷ ଓ ସୌରବର୍ଷର ସମତା ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତି ତିନି ବର୍ଷ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ଚାନ୍ଦ୍ରମାନ ମାସ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୋଗ କରାଯିବା ଗୋଟିଏ ମାସ। (ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ବରଷରେ ଚାରିଗୋଟି ମାସ, ହେଉଅଛି ସବୁରି ମତେ ଅଧିମାସ - କୃଷ୍ଣସିଂହ, ମହାଭାରତ, ବିରାଟ)
